In this post, I talk about my Cherry Tomato and Chilli Pepper plants, which are starting to turn red. 1. 車厘茄與指天椒變紅了！My Cherry Tomato and Chilli Pepper Plants are Starting to Turn Red!
車厘茄結果已經一段日子，卻因為一直陰天，沒有變紅。這個星期陽光普照，小蕃茄終於陸續開始變紅。指天椒則在我沒注意期間變紅了！
My cherry tomatoes have fruiting for a while now, but due to the continuous overcast cloudy weather, they hadn’t turned red. This week, however, the sun finally came out, and the small tomatoes have started changing colour at last. In the meantime, the Chili Peppers turned red without me noticing!
2. 櫻花蝦炒芥蘭頭 Stir-fried Kohlrabi with Dried Shrimps
上週談及的芥蘭頭，沒有待它長得更大，忍不住收割下來吃了。很鮮甜美味呢！
A dish I made with the Kohlrabi mentioned last week. I couldn’t resist harvesting it before waiting for it to grow bigger. It was incredibly fresh and delicious!
3. 花園發現神祕瓜苗 A Mysterious Seedling
早幾個月在花盆中發現了一棵不明來歷的瓜苗，我想是我誤以為發芽不成的節瓜種子，混進了泥土中，然後天熱發芽了。我一直當它是節瓜那麼養，本星期它開花了，卻完全不是節瓜花朵的模樣，身份繼續存疑！
I bought a large amount of frozen prawn when they were on discount, and dried them in the oven at low temperature. To make it more energy-efficient, I make them in bulk every time.
4. 肥沃的蚯蚓堆肥 Harvesting my Worm Bin
蚯蚓堆肥桶產出的堆肥，特別肥沃！
The compost produced from the worm bin is particularly rich and fertile!
5. 瓢蟲出沒 Found a Ladybug
自從加了小池塘後，花園多了出現一些有益的動物，例如這隻瓢蟲。朋友告訴我黑底橙點的比較少見，我上網查資料，得悉牠叫Harlequin Ladybird，原籍亞洲！難道是物以類聚，香港人會引來亞洲瓢蟲？
Ever since I added a mini-pond in the garden, more beneficial creatures appeared. This ladybug is one example. A friend mentioned that ladybugs with black backs and orange spots are uncommon. I looked up information online and found out that it is called Harlequin Ladybird and is originally native to Asia! How interesting! Do Hong Kong gardeners naturally attract Asian ladybugs?
6. 翠玉瓜粒湯飯 Courgette Soup with Rice
宴客做了瑤柱、冬菇、蝦仁、帶子、翠玉瓜粒湯，喝剩的，翌日加入冷飯成為湯飯做午餐。
For a social gathering, I prepared a soup with dried scallops, shiitake mushrooms, prawns, scallops and courgette. The leftovers were turned into a hearty rice soup for lunch the next day by simply adding some leftover rice.
7. 實用又美觀的洗衣房擺設 Practical & Good-looking Decoration in Laundry Room
在洗衣房放置這張海報，在charity shop用兩英鎊買了個相架裱起來，既有裝飾作用亦有實際用途。
I placed this poster in the laundry room and put it in a frame I got at a charity shop for two pounds. It serves both as a decorative piece and as a practical laundry guide.
