One of the most successful DIY projects I did for my cats was crafting cat beds using old jumpers with discarded garments as stuffing. Not only does this save money, but it also provides our furry friends with a comfortable resting place infused with our familiar scents. A cozy gift, isn’t it?
維修貓抓柱 Scratching Post Solutions
貓抓柱不便宜；當它們開始出現磨損跡象，你會想：那麼快又要買新的嗎？與其花錢購買，我找到一個更經濟、可持續的方案——用舊衣物修補。我曾成功地利用一件舊外衣、一個舊坐墊套來修補貓抓柱。這些布料都堅固粗糙，既耐用又能引貓出爪！這樣，貓咪可以繼續享受他們喜愛的活動，而我們又不用花大錢。
Scratching posts trees can be expensive, and when they start showing signs of wear and tear, the thought of replacing them can be daunting. Instead of shelling out money for a new one, I’ve found a more economical and sustainable solution – mending them with old garments. I’ve successfully repurposed an old jacket and a cushion cover, choosing fabrics that are durable and inviting for scratching. This way, my cats can continue to enjoy their favourite activity without us breaking the bank.
手臂保護套 Protective Arm Sleeve
我的貓喜歡和老公玩捉手遊戲，但有時這會導致意外抓傷或咬傷。為了保護老公的手臂，我剪下一件舊衣服的袖子，縫上橡筋，製作了這手臂保護套。設計上，它容易穿戴，質料上，它夠厚夠保護性。結果，遊戲安全了，人貓都可以玩得更盡情！這個成功的創作後來得到「安歌」──老公請我為他多做一個，好讓他把一個放在樓下，一個放在二樓，那麼無論他和貓在哪一層，都可以隨時開始玩！
My cat loves playing hand-tag with my husband, but the game can sometimes result in unintentional scratches or bites. To address this, I crafted a protective arm sleeve for my husband by repurposing an old sweater’s sleeve and sewing on an elastic band. The design makes it easy to put on and take off; the fleece material makes it thick and protective. The safer the game, the more enjoyable it becomes for the playmates. The success of this creation led to the request for a second sleeve, so my husband can place one on the ground floor and one upstairs – to make it convenient for him to play with the cat wherever they are.
