床褥變身、經濟美食、省時家居貼士 From Mattress Magic to Time-saving and Budget-friendly Delights

1. 加大床褥 Englarging the Mattress
搬來英國的時候，把香港的硬床褥船運了過來。床褥的尺碼是Queen Size，英國的床架卻都是King Size，於是我買了一塊記憶棉來填補空隙。蓋上床墊套和床單後，完全看不出破綻呢。
When I moved to the UK, I shipped over my firm mattress from Hong Kong. The mattress was Queen Size, but the bed frames in the UK are all King Size. So, I filled the gap with a piece of memory foam. After covering it with a mattress protector and bedsheet, you can’t even tell it’s a workaround!
2. 記憶棉腳踏 Memory Foam Footrest
填補床褥空隙後，我將餘下的記憶棉用來做了這個腳踏，成功解決了在桌前工作時，由於腿不夠長而「吊腳」的問題。雙腳著地，對保護腰骨帶來很大好處。
After filling the mattress gap, I used the remaining memory foam to create a footrest, effectively addressing the challenge of discomfort while working at the desk. This footrest ensures both feet rest comfortably on the ground, contributing significantly to lower back support and overall comfort.
3. 紙盒變抽屜 DIY Drawers from Cardboard Boxes
裁剪了兩個紙箱，用膠溶槍繞着紙箱貼上麻繩，再安裝手柄，即為書架度身訂造了兩個抽屜。
Cut up a couple of cardboard boxes, wound some twine around them using a glue gun, slapped on some handles, and voila – custom-made drawers for the bookshelf!
4. 鹹蛋芥菜豆腐肉片湯 Mustard Green Soup with Salted Egg, Tofu and Sliced Pork
在中超買了大芥菜，加上自己浸的鹹蛋，做了鹹蛋芥菜豆腐肉片湯。
Bought some mustard greens from the Chinese supermarket, added homemade salted eggs and made a delicious soup with tofu and sliced pork.
5. 菜膽雞 Steamed Chicken with Mustard Greens in Stock
另一棵芥菜用來做了菜膽雞，第一次做，原來並不難！
The rest of the mustard greens was used to make this yummy chicken dish! My first attempt, nailed it!
6. 經濟咖啡酒 Budget-friendly Coffee Liqueur
在英國找到一款味道跟Baileys沒啥分別，卻便宜很多的Ballycastle咖啡酒，用來做Tiramisu一流！
Found a coffee liqueur branded Ballycastle in the UK, which tastes similar to Baileys but is much cheaper. A wallet-friendly ingredient for making Tiramisu!
7. 方包儲存法 Bread Storage Hack
