我的菜園三月在種什麼？What Am I Growing in My Vegetable Garden in March?
今年天氣相當和暖，步入三月，我的花園已經充滿春天的氣息。務農時，遇上一條肥美的蚯蚓，看來剛過去的冬季，保養泥土的功夫做得不錯！
This year’s weather is quite mild. As March rolls in, my garden is buzzing with spring vibes. While working in the garden, I stumbled upon a big fat earthworm – a sign that I’ve done a good job nurturing the soil through the past winter!
油麥菜 Indian Lettuce
去年十一月落種，幼苗成長後，它們就一直放在小溫室內越冬，現在它已經開始長大，並發展出穩固的根系，是時候移植到大盆，不久後就會有收成了。
Sown last November, they have been kept in a cold frame all winter after sprouting. Now they’re stretching out and growing big. With an established root system, it’s time to transplant them into larger pots. It won’t be long before they’re ready for harvest.
唐蒿 Garland Chrysanthemum
也是去年十一月落種，它們不用放在溫室，在戶外一直慢慢生長。我們甚至在一月採收過小小收成呢！現在它和油麥菜一樣開始長大茂盛起來了！（這批唐蒿種子是去年自己留種的，看來非常健康！）
Also sown last November, they’ve been growing steadily outdoors without the need for a cold frame. We even snagged a small harvest in January! Now they’re growing lush and strong like the Indian Lettuce! (The seeds of this batch of Garland Chrysanthemum were saved from last year and look very healthy!)
蒜頭 Garlic
少數適合在冬天種植的蔬菜之一。有它們在菜田上，能在寒冷的月份保持土壤的生命力。這些是「硬頸」蒜頭，等到五、六月左右，可以採摘蒜心來吃呢！
One of the few winter-friendly vegetables, they are perfect for keeping the soil alive during the colder months. These are hardneck garlics so in May or June, we’ll be snipping off some garlic scapes for a tasty treat!
豆苗 Pea Shoots
上個月才落種，現在長出了細細的幼苗，像腳毛一樣，好可愛！
Sown just last month, they’re popping up with delicate little shoots, like cute tiny hairs.
韭菜 Garlic Chive
在經歷了冬季後，現在又再次冒出頭來。等它再長大一點，會收割一下使它更加粗壯。
These little ones are making a comeback after winter. I’ll let it grow a bit more before cutting them back to make them sturdier!
蕃薯、薑、辣椒、檸檬 Sweet Potato, Ginger, Chili, Lemon
這些植物在最寒冷的月份都放進了室內，現在隨著春天到來，拿到室外放在小溫室中，讓它們逐漸適應戶外氣溫。
These were brought indoors during the coldest months and are now hardening off in the cold frame as spring arrives.
迷迭香、鼠尾草、百里香、奧勒岡、馬約蘭 Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Oregano, Marjoram
全部健在！它們整個冬天沒怎麼長大過，但也沒有凋謝，像一盆冬季裝飾品那樣美化着花園。春天來了，修剪一下促進其生長，期待新一年的收成。
All doing well after winter! They didn’t grow much over the last few months but remained in their pot as lovely winter charms. With spring around the corner, I’ll trim them back to boost it growth and look forward to a new year’s harvest.
蘋果樹 Apple Tree
這棵幼樹去年受到蠅蛆侵襲，由此我學會了須在冬天就一早採取預防措施，為它提供了必要的保護，希望今年能收穫健康的果實。
This young tree fell victim to a maggot infestation last year. Through this experience, I learned that preventive measures need to be taken as early as in the winter. So I’ve provided the tree with the necessary protection in hopes of yielding a healthy crop this year.
士多啤梨 Strawberry
我打算每年種一種新的食物，今年會種士多啤梨。
I’ve decided to plant a new food every year. This year I’ll give strawberries a go.
