1. 春日撒種 Spring Sowing
隨著三月到來，我的「料理農務」工作開始活躍起來！除了照顧花園現有的植物外，我也播下種一些種子，包括我喜愛的芥蘭。這是令人興奮的時期，因為豐收季節即將來臨。
As March arrives, my gardening tasks multiply. Beyond tending to existing plants in the garden, I also started some seeds, including one of my favourites, Kai Lan. It’s an exciting time as I prepare for the abundance of the coming season.
2. 廚具變身園藝器具 From Cookware to Gardenware
易潔鑊報銷了，我把它拿到花園做花盆底盤。將日常物品這樣重用，不僅為我的園藝工作增添創意，還減少浪費，促進環保。
I used a retired non-stick pan as a planter saucer in my garden. Repurposing everyday items into gardening tools not only brings a touch of creativity to my gardening endeavours but also champions sustainability by reducing waste.
3. 生菜再生 Lettuce Regrow Hack
到菜檔購物時，我喜歡買連根的生菜，因它味道十分鮮甜。我更會把生菜種在花盆裏，讓它繼續生長，這樣我就可以盡情享受新鮮採摘的菜葉！
When visiting fresh vegetable stalls, I love buying live lettuce as it tastes so fresh. I also like potting up the plant to keep it growing so I can indulge in the simple pleasure of plucking fresh leaves as needed.
4. 川椒雞配羽衣甘藍脆片 Sichuan Pepper Chicken with Kale Crisps
剛發現了可以用羽衣甘藍代替珍珠葉來製作川椒雞。我把它沾上食油、蜜糖和一小撮鹽，然後用氣炸鍋把它烤脆。
Just discovered that Kale leaves are a good substitute for the Pearl Leaves used in making Sichuan Pepper Chicken. I simply coated them in cooking oil, honey and a pinch of salt, and crisped them in the air fryer.
5. 簡化蘿蔔糕 Simplified Turnip Cakes
農曆年製作的蘿蔔糕吃光了，但仍意猶未盡。傳統食譜太費時費力了，於是我做了這個簡化版的蘿蔔煎餅，一樣美味！
Finished the Turnip Cakes I made for Lunar New Year but craved more. As traditional recipes are rather labour-intensive, I resorted to a simplified version which is just equally delightful!
6. 生日蘋果玫瑰 Apple Rose for Birthday
今年丈夫生日沒有做蛋糕，改為做這個清淡些的蘋果玫瑰，賣相迷人！
For a lighter alternative to buttery cakes, I presented an enchanting Apple Rose on my husband’s birthday.
7. 再生紙箱儲物 Upcycled Cardboard Storage
把舊紙箱變成儲物箱真的非常簡單，只需選擇一個合適大小的盒子，用舊窗簾布包裹起來。我用了自製的膠水，是用丙酮溶解發泡膠而成的。英國沒有發泡膠回收設施，這自製膠水幫助我把體積龐大的發泡膠廢物轉化為體積細小的有用物資。
Turning old cardboard boxes into storage containers couldn’t be easier. I simply chose a box of desirable size and wrapped it with old curtain fabrics. I used homemade glue made by dissolving polystyrene with acetone. There are no polystyrene recycling facilities in the UK, so this homemade glue helped me transform what can become a bulky waste into useful materials with a smaller volume.
